What is the difference between single cylinder and twin cylinder air compressor?

Single‑cylinder air compressors are compact and suitable for light‑duty use, but their airflow drops significantly under high pressure; they are slower and prone to overheating under heavy loads.

Twin-cylinder air compressors (also called dual motor air compressors) deliver substantially higher and more stable airflow, inflating much faster and maintaining performance under continuous, high‑pressure use without burning out. They are ideal for large tires, off‑road vehicles, and RVs.
