It says "500 lbs Limit". Can I strap cargo on top of the cover and drive?

The ToughFold T1 features a 500-lb static load capacity, meaning its reinforced FRP panels can easily withstand heavy snow loads or support weight while parked (such as when setting up wilderness observation gear). However, it is not designed to haul or strap down cargo on top while driving. All driving cargo should be secured inside the truck bed.

Are hard tonneau covers waterproof? How well does it protect against rain, snow, and car washes?
