⚙️ Bracket & Motor Installation
Step 1: Check Vehicle Frame Modules
  • If vehicle has ATMM Modules or Mass Dampers on the front frame, follow Step 1A.
  • If vehicle does NOT have these modules, proceed directly to Step 1B.
1A

Relocate ATMM / Damper

Locate ATMM Module
Relocation Bracket
Mass Damper Variant
  • Unplug & Remove: Locate Driver Side ATMM/Damper on the frame. Unplug and unbolt it. WARNING Removing ATMM entirely may cause excess vibration.
  • Prep Relocation Bracket: Insert M8 Carriage bolts (J) through the square holes on the Relocation Bracket (K) and secure using Plastic Retainers (F).
  • Mount: Mount the ATMM/Damper onto the relocation bracket using M8 Nylon Lock Nuts (I). Then mount the Relocation Bracket (K) onto the frame where the OE module was.
  • NOTE On some models (e.g., TRX), an OE plug may be in the way. Unbolt it and secure it elsewhere using zip ties.
1B

Pre-Assemble Brackets

  • Take the mounting brackets and attach them to the aluminum linkage arms.
  • Insert M8 Carriage Bolts into the square slots on the brackets so that the threads are pointing downwards.
  • Use the M8 Flanged Nylon Lock Nuts to fasten the arms to the brackets. There are 4 fastening points on each bracket.
  • CRITICAL Tighten the M8 Flanged Nylon Lock Nuts all the way until tight.
2

Mount Front Bracket

Line up bracket slots to studs
Front Bracket Mounted
  • Line up front mounting bracket slots to the studs on the rocker panel.
  • Place the Driver Side/Left Front Bracket Assembly (A) onto the rocker panel.
  • Fasten using Nylon Lock Nuts (I) and washers (H). Do not tighten all the way yet.
  • NOTE Cleaning OE threads using a tap/die before installing the bracket is highly recommended.
3

Mount Rear Bracket

Line up rear bracket slots
Rear Bracket Mounted
  • Locate rear mounting points. Line up the rear mounting bracket slots to the studs.
  • Place the Driver Side/Left Rear Bracket Assembly (B) onto the rocker panel.
  • Fasten using Nylon Lock Nuts (I) and washers (H).
  • CRITICAL Do not tighten all the way yet. Adjustments may be needed later.

🔌Deep Dive: Signal Wiring Guide (BCM Connection)
Step 9: Routing Check & Vehicle Year Branch
After routing the Main Harness (M), check to make sure wires are secure with cable ties. Avoid contact with moving/hot engine components and the vehicle suspension.
  • 2019-2024 Models: Proceed to Step 10A (Part A below).
  • 2025 Models: Proceed to Step 10B (Part B below).
*Confirm model year before proceeding (some 2025 models were manufactured in 2024).

Part A: 2019-2024 Models (Step 10A)

Access Green CAN Hub

Peel weather strip and remove panel
Locate green CAN wiring hub
Pull plastic hub out
  • On the front Driver Side door, peel the weather strip from the seams and use a pry tool to remove the side dash panel.
  • Locate the green CAN wiring hub on the backside of the metal framework.
  • Remove the entire black plastic casing (with green hub attached) by pulling it up. (Note: A plastic detent may need to be pressed to unhook it).

19-24 Connection Guide

Identify Plugs

Identify top row 2-wire plug On the top row with empty slots, select the leftmost plug with two wires extending from it.

Wire Colors

High and Low Wires The wire on the bottom is CAN High. The wire on top is CAN Low.
Factory CAN Wire Main Harness
Orange w/ White Stripe White (High)
Yellow Yellow (Low)
⚠️ Note: Colors may differ from vehicle to vehicle. Always use the OE plug as a reference point (Bottom = High, Top = Low). If the indicated colors are not present, tap any of the pairs of wires on the upper row.

Part B: 2025 Models (Step 10B)

B1

Locate CAN Bus Plug

Driver Side under steering wheel
Large CAN bus connector
  • On the Driver Side (under the steering wheel, near the kick panel), locate the large CAN bus connector close to the firewall.

2025 Connection Guide

Identify Twisted Pair

Identify twisted pair on bottom right Identify the configuration on the bottom side of the plug. On the right side, select the twisted pair.

Wire Colors

White and Blue with White stripe wires
Factory CAN Wire Main Harness
Blue w/ White Stripe White (High)
White Yellow (Low)
⚠️ Note: Always use the OE plug as a reference point. After successfully connecting, secure wires so they do not interfere with the brake pedal.

How to use "Shark Taps"

Wire Taps Guide 1 Wire Taps Guide 2
  • Clamp: Take the wider end of the tap and wrap the jaws onto the vehicle data line. Clamp jaws tightly.
  • Insert: Insert the Power Step Main Harness signal wire into the narrow jaw.
  • Secure: Clamp the jaw tightly. Needle-nose pliers are highly recommended to ensure the metal blade pierces the insulation of both wires to make a proper connection.

⚠️ CRITICAL NOTE:

Make sure the wire is seated properly in the jaws before clamping. The wire being tapped must be centered on the "teeth" to make a proper tap. If wires are not fully secured, use a screwdriver to pry open the clamping buckle, wrap the broken part with electrical tape, and re-do the tapping process.

External Connections

  • Install LED Lights: Peel the adhesive backing and stick the LED lights to the rocker panel underside. Plug them into the harness.
  • Connect Harnesses: Under the vehicle, connect the Main Harness to the LED Y-Harnesses on both sides.
  • Plug in Motors: Connect the Y-Harness to the front motor plugs.
13

Mounting the Boards

  • Power Up: Re-insert the 25A fuse.
Open the door to extend arms.
Unplug the motor to cut power and keep brackets down for installation.
  • Mount Boards: Slide (4) M6 Carriage Bolts into the channels. Align with bracket slots. Secure with Washers and Nuts. Adjust position and tighten all nuts.
  • Reconnect: Plug the motor connector back in (or re-insert fuse). Close the door to retract the steps.
✅ Final System Check

Cycle Test: Open and close each door multiple times to ensure the steps deploy and retract smoothly without binding.
Check Hardware: Double-check that all mounting bolts are tightened to spec.

It’s fully automated. The boards deploy when the door opens and retract when the door closes. We use advanced CAN bus technology to read door signals directly, eliminating the need for unreliable magnetic switches.

Absolutely. They are built for it. All components, including the IP67-rated motor and connectors, are weatherproof and sealed tight. They are tested from -40°F to 176°F to ensure flawless performance.

We built them strong! Each side has a proven load capacity of up to 660 lbs. Feel free to load up your gear or stand side-by-side with a buddy—they can take it.

Yes. The 6-inch wide platform features an aggressive textured surface designed to provide maximum grip, even with wet or muddy boots.

Yes, there is! Integrated LED lighting automatically illuminates the step surface when the board extends, dramatically improving visibility and safety for those late-night entries.

Safety first! Our boards include an auto-stop anti-pinch function that instantly halts movement if an obstruction is detected. Plus, there’s a 3-second safety delay before retraction just to give you extra peace of mind.

Nope! That’s the beauty of them. When retracted, the boards fit snugly against the vehicle body, ensuring you maintain your maximum ground clearance for optimal off-road capability.

No drilling required. This is a 100% bolt-on installation. Our brackets utilize the designated factory mounting points on your truck’s frame. Check out our installation video above for a detailed walkthrough specific to your vehicle.
